- Introduction
Sakeshirube is an iPhone app that identifies alcoholic beverages from bottle label photos and helps you record your tasting notes. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
- Information We Collect
- Image data: Photos of bottle labels captured by the user are sent to the Anthropic Claude API for identification. Images are not stored on our app servers.
- Audio data: Voice memos recorded for tasting notes are processed by on-device Speech Recognition. Audio data is not transmitted to external servers.
- Tasting records: Bottle names, ratings, notes, and similar data are stored locally on your iPhone. If iCloud sync is enabled, they are also stored in your iCloud account.
- Device identifier: A device-specific ID is managed via Cloudflare Workers to track API usage limits.

This app uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic (Claude API): AI image processing and bottle information generation
- Apple (iCloud / CloudKit): Syncing tasting records (only when enabled by the user)
- Cloudflare (Workers / KV): API proxy and usage management
- Rakuten Ichiba: Used only when the user taps an affiliate link to navigate to the Rakuten website
We do not sell or share personal information with any third parties beyond those listed above.
- Data Retention
Tasting records are stored on your iPhone until you delete them within the app. Image data sent to APIs is processed according to each API provider's policy.
- Children's Privacy
This app is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
